External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held a discussion with the Indian Business Community in Uganda yesterday. In a tweet, Dr Jaishankar informed that he appreciated their contribution to India-Uganda bilateral relationship.

The Minister also encouraged them to continue building the bridge of business ties that capture the growth and development in the two countries.

He further said that India's progress and prosperity can benefit Uganda and its experiences can be helpful in Uganda’s development



journey.

The Minister is on an official visit to Uganda and Mozambique from 10th to 15th of this month. His visit to Mozambique tomorrow will mark the first visit by an External Affairs Minister of India to the country since 2010.

During the visit, Dr Jaishankar will co-chair the 5th Session of the Joint Commission Meeting with Mozambican Foreign Minister Veronica Macamo.

The External Affairs Ministry stated that he will also interact with the Indian diaspora based in Mozambique.
