Doha: External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar met his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Doha. The two leaders exchanged views on global and regional developments, including Afghanistan. The two leaders also discussed political, economic, digital and security partnerships. Dr Jaishankar, who is visiting the Gulf country, also thanked the Qatari authorities for the support extended to the Indian community.
In a tweet, the External Affairs Minister held productive talks with Foreign Minister of Qatar. Appreciating the interest in expanding investment and trade, he said, they discussed their broad-based political,
economic, digital and security partnership. Dr. Jaishankar said, they exchanged views on global and regional developments, including Afghanistan.
In a tweet, Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Al Thani said, they had a fruitful discussion on ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields.
Both leaders also unveiled the foundation stone of the new Indian Embassy complex in Doha.
On this occasion, Dr Jaishankar in a tweet said, he is confident that the new chancery complex will meet the aspirations of the Indian community in Qatar.'
