In US, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton waged a close battle in crucial battleground states in the race for the White House. With voting completed in more than half of the 50 US states, the race was too close to call in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Virginia, states that could be vital to deciding which contender wins the presidency.
Clinton projected winner of seven States, so far Trump projected winner in four. Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia were all instantly projected for Clinton.



Trump was the instant projected winner of Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Polls closed on the East Coast but are still open on the West Coast. Full results are expected today once polls close on the West Coast.
Meanwhile, in the Senate race, Republicans will maintain their six-year control over the US House of Representatives. According to early network projections, Republicans also put up an unexpectedly tough fight to protect their majority in the US Senate yesterday. Winners had been declared so far in 11 Senate races, with Democrats making a net gain of only a single seat so far.
