Emergency can Repeat in India Warn LK Advani

EW DELHI Jun 18, 2015(Agency):Senior BJP leader LK Advani has said that Emergency can happen again in India."I do not say that the political leadership is not mature. But I don't have the confidence that it (Emergency) cannot happen again," Advani said in an interview in the Indian Express.

leader said that there are no signs in Indian polity which assure him that the Emergency can't be imposed in India again."I do not see any sign in our polity that assures me, any outstanding aspect of leadership. A commitment to democracy and to all other aspects related to democracy is lacking," Advani said.
