Most popular exit
polls have predicted a comfortable win for Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal,
return of Left Front in Kerala and big win for BJP alliance in Assam,
Congress-DMK alliance in Puducherry while the DMK-Congress alliance and AIADMK
are in close battle in Tamil Nadu.
There are however differences by various agencies and final result will only be known on Thursday when counting will be held.
Exit polls for five
states show Assam and Kerala have both voted for change while West Bengal has
opted decisively once again for Mamata Banerjee. In Assam, while most exit
polls predict a comfortable win for BJP-Assam Gana Parsihad
alliance, C-Voter
gives a fractured verdict and shows hung assembly based on pre-poll alliances.
The agencies predict, TMC's return in Bengal with a slightly reduced margin. In Tamil Nadu, the exit polls predict a win for the DMK-Congress alliance, except C-Voter which predicts Jayalalithaa will change two decades of poll history and come back to power for a second consecutive term.
The prediction for Kerala is unanimous - all of them say the Left Democratic Front is going to dislodge Oommen Chandy's government. And in Puducherry, the agencies predict that All India NR Congress is going to be toppled by Congress-DMK alliance.
Do you think AAP will perform better in Delhi polls without alliance?
