Jammu, January 03, 2015 (PTI/IANS) Four civilians were injured in firing and shelling by Pakistani troops along the border in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
Indian and Pakistani border guards continued to exchange heavy fire overnight on the international border in Samba district, police said. “Heavy firing exchanges continued between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers in Ramgarh, Hiranagar and Samba sectors of the international border till early morning,” a senior police officer told IANS in Jammu on Saturday. “Pakistan Rangers had started unprovoked firing at four BSF border posts in Ramgarh sector around 9.30 p.m. yesterday.”

retaliated effectively and firing exchanges between the two sides continued till 3 a.m. today in Ramgarh, Hiranagar and Samba sectors.” The latest round of ceasefire violations by Pakistan which started on New Year eve has left a BSF jawan dead and seven others injured while five Pakistani Rangers have been killed in retaliatory firing by India till yesterday.
Ambulances and doctors have been deputed at Hiranagar and three buildings have been made operational as relief camps keeping in view the volatile situation prevailing in the area.
Eight BSF posts of Patti, Pansar, Londi, Bobiya, Chakara, Lacchipura in Kathua district and seven border outposts in Samba district, including Manguchack, Chilyadiya, Regal, Chachval, Ramgarh, Maluchack and Nanga posts came under fire.
