The government has
appealed to the opposition to start discussion on demonetisation in the
Parliament after continued disruption of Parliament proceedings in both the
Houses on the issue of demonetisation.
Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Ananth Kumar yesterday said, the government is ready for a discussion
on the issue. On a question why government is not ready to accept
the
opposition's demand for discussion under the rule entails voting even though it
has numbers in the Lok Sabha, the Minister said, the government does not want
to send a message that the House is divided on the issue of black money.
On the passage of Taxation Laws Second Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, Mr Kumar said, it is an instrument to fight the menace of black money.
