Hyderabad : The State Cabinet has given nod for the grand celebration of first anniversary of formation of Telangana State.

An amount of Rs 20 crore has been sanctioned for the celebrations and it has been decided to hoist national flags at all the government offices on the Telangana Formation Day. The celebrations will be held from 2nd to 8th June. Essay writing and singing competitions will be held for children across the State.

The



cabinet has also increased ex-gratia amount for the families of police personnel killed in terrorist violence to Rs 40 lakhs from present Rs 25 lakhs. A Cabinet Sub-Committee, to be chaired by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, has also been constituted to fix compensation for the injured and those whose properties are damaged in such violent incidents.

The State Cabinet has also sanctioned Rs 7.19 crore for the weavers in Sircilla.
