AgenciesDecember 30, 2014 : All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) was the first party to react soon after the special CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) court discharged Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah in the cases relating to the fake encounter of alleged extortionist Shorabuddin Sheikh, his wife Kausar Bi and his associate Tulsiram Prajapati. The party spokesperson and Rajya Sabha M.P. of AITC, Derek O’Brien said that the CBI Court’s order to clear Mr. Shah of all charges has established that the agency’s “credibility has broken irreparably.”Mr. O’Brien claimed that “after today’s hogwash” Trinamool’s allegation, made on Sunday, has been established.Quoting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), AITC had alleged on Sunday that the BJP and the CBI were “working together” to protect Mr. Shah. AITC claimed that
Sohrabuddin-Kauser Bi-Tulsiram Prajapati murder trial “would be a test case to measure how robust, fair and efficient criminal justice system is.” “Sohrabuddin was killed not because he was a criminal or because the law agencies saw him as a threat to public order. He was killed because he had become inconvenient for his handlers in the government machinery,” a Trinamool release said on Sunday. However, BJP’s State president Rahul Sinha dismissed the allegations as “baseless.”The AITC’s comment on Tuesday was more caustic. “Amit Shah discharged in fake encounter case after top lawyers defend him for three days and CBI prosecutors got only 15 minutes. Wah!” Mr. O’Brien said, soon after the court’s order. Keywords: All India Trinamool Congress, AITC, Trinamool Congress charge, Amit Shah, Shorabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case
