New Delhi March 3, 2015 (Agency) Commenting that he was deeply hurt and pained by what is going on in the Aam Aadmi Party, party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that this is a betrayal of trust that Delhi posed in the them.
"I refuse to be drawn in this ugly battle. Will concentrate only on Delhi's governance," the Chief Minister tweeted after reports of rifts in the party has been doing the rounds for some time now.
Earlier, party leaders accused Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan of attempting to remove Mr. Kejriwal as its convener. The party’s national executive meeting will discuss the issue on Wednesday, which may lead to the ouster of the two founder members.Meanwhile,
amid the ongoing rumbling within the party, senior party leader Yogendra Yadav on Monday said all the stories on the crisis in the party are “imaginary” and it was time to work after the big victory in the polls and not indulge in “small acts." He said the people of Delhi have given the party a massive mandate and one should not indulge in these small acts.With the party facing escalated internecine conflict, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today said he was “hurt and pained” by what was going on within the outfit, terming it as an “ugly battle” which has “betrayed” the trust imposed by the people.AAP has convened a meeting of its national executive tomorrow to decide on all issues, including the latest controversy over differences in the party.
