ICG Dornier aircraft with 3 crew members goes missing

Chennai: An Indian Coast Guard Dornier aircraft with three crew members on-board, two pilots and an observer, has gone missing since last night. 

The aircraft, which took off from the Chennai airport at 5:30 PM yesterday, lost contact with the base at around 10 PM, as per a



NDTV report.

It was last tracked at Trichy airport radar.  Around five Coast Guard boats and four Navy ships have been put into action for tracing the missing aircraft.

The missing Dornier aircraft was the latest induction in Indian Coast Guard, in 2014.
