Counter-terrorism and economic reforms will be high on the agenda when the world leaders meet in Hamburg, Germany for the G-20 summit tomorrow.The heads of State and Government of 19 countries and European Union will be attending the 12th annual summit hosted by Germany.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leading a high level delegation at G-20 summit, which will also include NITI Aayog vice-chairman and India’s G20 Sherpa Arvind Panagariya.
On the
second leg of his two-nation visit, the prime minister will be reaching Hamburg this evening. India is hopeful that the G-20 summit at Hamburg in Germany will come out with a statement of actionable steps to counter terrorism.
Indian Ambassador in Germany, Mukta Datta Thomar in an interview told that the summit will begin with Leaders Retreat, where they will discuss fighting terrorism and it shows the importance that is being accorded to fighting terrorism.
