External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that India is willing to take lead in climate action. Speaking at the high level meeting on Climate Change at UN General Assembly in New York yesterday, Mrs Swaraj reiterated India's commitment to combat climate change.
 
She said, New Delhi's commitment to combat climate change is rooted in Indian ethos, which considers Earth as Mother.

India, United States form alliance in public and private sectors to combat menace of tuberculosis

India and United States have formed an alliance comprising leading experts



in public and private sectors to combat the menace of tuberculosis. The formation of 'USAID-India End TB Alliance' was formally announced by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) administrator Mark Green in presence of Union Health Minister J P Nadda in New York yesterday.
 
Mr Green said the experts in the alliance will offer innovative approaches to combat tuberculosis in India. He hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious, and determined commitment to achieve a TB-free India by 2025 would become possible with this alliance.
