Sydney, February 16, 2015 (Agencies) Even as India was on it way to a comfortable win against Pakistan, ugly scenes marred the contest for some viewers when a brawl broke out between rival fans at a Sydney Club.

Four people were injured in the fight which took place at the Merrylands RSL club, where people used chairs and barstools to attack one another. One person was hit by a thrown glass whle another was attacked with a plate.

The incident which took place during the closing stages of the match was



captured by the clubs 200 cameras. As reported in The Daily Telegraph, Security footage from one of the club’s 200 cameras captured the offender walking “a great distance” with the chair before throwing it at an opposition fan. The blow was softened by the chair’s upholstery.

Police will be examining the CCTV footage and also cross check the clubs over 60,00 members to identify the persons involved.

India won the match by 76 runs to extend its World Cup record over Pakistan to six wins from as many matches.
