India and Rwanda have inked agreements in the fields of innovation, aviation and visa requirements. The agreements were signed in Kigali yesterday in the presence of Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari and Rwandan Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi during a business forum meet. Mr Ansari, who is in Rwanda on the first leg of his 2-nation visit to East Africa, also launched a India-Rwanda innovation growth programme.
The three important agreements have signed by India and Rwanda are bilateral air service agreement between two countries, an establishment of an Entrepreneurship Development
Centre in Rwanda duly financed by Government of India and an agreement for exemption of visa requirements for diplomatic and service passports.
Earlier on the day, Vice President has met President of Rwanda and shared views of mutual benefits. He was also met President of the Senate of Rwanda and presented him a copy of Indian constitution. In his last part of visit of Rwanda today, Mr Ansari will address students and faculty members at University of Rwanda. Following his visit to Rwanda, Vice President will travel to Uganda, the second leg of his tour to another African country.
