Friday, 24 April 2015 (Agencies) Eighteen-year-old Kabyashree Bora from Assam's Majuli district recently participated in an international music competition called 'Aim2fame' organized by Nexar Production, based in San Fransisco, USA.Bora has reached the second round from her video singing I will always love you sung by Whitney Houston by securing fifth position among 200 selected candidates in the first audition through Youtube.Though she comes from an Assamese medium school, Kabyashree loves singing western music and everyday she is practicing a song to reach the grand finale which will be held from 12 May in Valencia, Spain. Besides playing the guitar she plays violin, keyboard and Tanpura."I'm participating in the international music called Aim2fame which will be held in Spain. I passed the first round competitive and I'm in the second round and the voting is going on



till 28th April. I got to know about Aim2fame from Facebook I got a suggestion post on my timeline so I click on it and I interacted with them and I uploaded my video in YouTube and send the link to them. And then I passed the first round and in the same process second round voting is going on," said Kabyashree."She has a dream of becoming a popular singer and as her mother, I will help her in any way I can. I request the people of Assam and India to vote for her and to make her dreams come true," said Bina Bora, Kabyashree's mother.Presently, Bora is in sixth position and she is likely to be selected for the grand finale. She has been spending 8-9 hours every day to promote her video and also to get more votes from friends.Like Bora, there are a number of talented young musicians in the Northeast who have the ability of making their mark at national and international level.
