Intex on Tuesday launched a new budget smartphone dubbed Aqua Super priced at Rs. 10,390. It would be available in four colour variants – Black, Champagne, Grey and White – from next week.

The dual-SIM Intex Aqua Super runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a calculated pixel density of roughly 293ppi. The new Intex smartphone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6735P SoC, coupled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM.

Sporting an 8-megapixel rear camera, the Aqua Super features a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera section includes features such as face detection, auto scene detection, self-timer, smile detection, face beauty, live photo, panorama and more. It bears 16GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (128GB). Connectivity options include 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Super is backed by a 2150mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time. It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Some of the preloaded apps include Matrabhasa, Follo, Quikr, Intex Play, Opera Mini, Clean Master, and Newshunt. Features like Smartwake and Airshuffle are also featured inside the smartphone.

Intex has also added that the Aqua Super comes with a 1-year screen breakage warranty and a complementary bag pack.
