Jitan Manjhi submits resignation; Nitish Kumar apologises for quitting earlier

Bihar Friday, 20 February 2015 (Agency) Facing imminent defeat, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi today resigned ahead of the trust vote, saying that he decided to step down as his supporters were issued death threats and he did not want the legislators to lose their Assembly membership.Meanwhile, awaiting invitation from the Governor to form the new government, JD(U) leader Nitish



Kumar promised good governance once he takes over as chief minister and apologised for his decision to quit last year after his party's rout in the Lok Sabha elections.JD(U) leader and ex Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has apologised to people of Bihar for the entire Manjhi fiasco. Calling it a joke of the constitution,  Nitish said that he is waiting for governor's action for deciding his next move.
