Hyderabad : Government of India is seriously considering appointing Justice P. Satasivam, former Chief Justice of India who is now functioning of Governor of Kerala as Governor of Telangana.
Central Government had given an indication very recently that it wants to appoint 9 Governors against the vacant posts which included Telangana State also. It is learnt from reliable sources that there are complaints against Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan that he is not functioning effectively. He is not able to resolve
the disputes arising out of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill. He failed to resolve the issues across the table by arranging a meeting of Chief Ministers of A.P. and Telangana State. It was also alleged that he visited Tirupati Temple 37 times causing an expenditure of Rs. 4 crore.
Mr. V. Hanumanth Rao, Congress M.P. of Rajya Sabha had also written a letter to Central Home Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh requesting him to appoint a separate Governor for Telangana State.
