Government has launched Lucky Grahak Yojana for Consumers and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for Merchants to promote digital transaction. The schemes are aimed at encouraging people to move towards significantly higher usage of digital transactions through the offer of incentives.
The first Lucky Grahak Yojana draw was held in the presence of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and name of 15 thousand lucky winners were announced yesterday. Each of them will get one thousand rupees and the amount will be transferred in their accounts. Similar draw of lots will be held over next
100 days. Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley assured the country that with such initiatives India will have a better and cleaner economy in future.
Speaking on the occasion, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also exhorted people to adopt and promote digital transactions for the country's economic development.Prime Minister has congratulated the winners of the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digidhan Vyapar Yojana. In a series of tweet, Mr Modi said, in the coming days, there will be programmes all over the country and the thousands of winners of the two initiatives will be awarded.
