HYDERABADApr 22, 2015(Agencies) :  A prank proved too costly for a Hyderabadi working for a Dubai-based drilling company on Tuesday.The RGI Airport police arrested 35-year-old Yousuf Sharif, 35, from Tappachabutra in the city and working for a Dubai-based drilling firm, for threatening an air hostess on the Dubai-Hyderabad flight that he will hijack the plane on Tuesday morning. Yousuf, a graduate, went to Dubai to work at an oil drilling firm five months ago.The incident happened when Yousuf was returning to Hyderabad from Dubai in an Air India flight on Tuesday morning. Yousuf's firm had provided him a business class ticket. During the journey, he asked the air hostess if he could click a selfie with her on his cell phone.He also asked the air hostess if he could take a photo of the cockpit. "When the air hostess rejected his request and started



walking away, Yousuf told her that he will hijack the flight. She immediately alerted the pilot. After the flight landed at the RGI Aiport, the captain handed over Yousuf to CISF personnel," deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Shamshabad, AR Srinivas said.The CISF personnel in turn then handed over Yousuf to the RGI Airport police. Based on a complaint of the air hostess, a case was registered against him under sections 504 (insult intended to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).Special teams of the Cyberabad police conducted checks at Yousuf's house at Tappachabutra, where his wife along with two children stay, while Counter Intelligence (CI) cell sleuths were interrogating the graduate and checking his antecedents. The Cyberabad police are also planning to question the complainant on Wednesday for further details
