From all the things you can expect to see at an airport's luggage carousel, a massive cube of raw meat is not one of them.
But there are a few travellers who had the misfortune of seeing exactly that in Seattle, Washington.
Passengers in the airport were left nauseous and angered after a huge cube of raw meat was left on the baggage claim carousel.
Footage of the luggage claim section, shared online by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), shows the mound of raw chicken on the carousel. It appeared to be made out of wings and drumsticks.
"Can chickens fly? Well. assuredly no poultry is flying like this," the agency captioned the clip.
"We hear at one time these wings and thighs were cooped up in a cooler. Somewhere between baggage and the carousel, they
became free-range," the TSA explained in their Instagram post.
According to reports, it isn't entirely clear how the chicken cube found a place on the baggage claim carousel. While the investigators didn't suspect any 'fowl play', it is believed the heap slipped out of its storage container but didn't lose shape.
"Don't wing your travel packing. In order to keep from ruffling any feathers, meat should be properly packaged. Ice or dry ice is permitted to keep the flock chilled," TSA quipped.
The clip has now garnered over 4 lakh views with hundreds of comments from Instagrammers.
A user wrote, "Omg I'd hate to have my bag on this conveyer belt after that."
"Looks like all the other luggage on that carousel has been cross-contaminated." wrote another user.
