The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill, 2016 has been listed for discussion in the Lok Sabha today the bill, which has been passed by the Rajya Sabha, aims to increase the maternity leave to 26 weeks.
The Mental Healthcare Bill, 2016 is also scheduled to come up for discussion in the Lower House today. The bill aims to provide mental healthcare and services for persons with mental illness and to protect, promote and fulfill the rights of such persons during



delivery of mental healthcare and services.
In the Rajya Sabha, HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Bill, 2014 has been listed for discussion. It aims for prevention and control of the spread of HIV AIDS and for the protection of human rights of persons affected by the virus and syndrome.
The Employee's Compensation (Amendment) Bill, 2016, which was passed by the Lok Sabha, is also scheduled to be discussed in the Upper House today.
