Mixed response to bandh call in Mysuru

Mysuru: There was a mixed response to the bandh call given by VHP and other pro - Hindu organisations in Mysuru.

Many schools declared a holiday after students had reached their educational institutions. Parents were seen ferrying their children back to school. Activists of pro Hindu organizations forced closure of a few private schools in the City.

Meanwhile, KSRTC buses were seen plying on both city as well as mofussil routes.




class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">Most shops and businesses in the central business district remained closed. However, shops in localities like Udayagiri remained open.  Autos were also found plying.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that measures were in place to ensure peace. "Right wing outfits stoking disturbance for political gains," he said.
