Modi to address 3 day National Conference in Kutch today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver inaugural address on a three-day National Conference of Central and State Ministers and Secretaries of Tourism, Culture and Sports in Kutch, Gujarat today. He will address the programme through video conferencing and also interact with the participants at the end of the conference. 

The Conference aims at achieving the necessary convergence among tourism, culture, youth affairs and sports areas and synergy between the Centre and state. Convergence of Cultural aspects with



sporting events will create tourist hubs to the mutual benefit of sports and tourism. This will be for the first time that State Ministers of Tourism, Culture and Sports will be meeting together. 

Sports Ministry has said that such frequent interactions between the Centre and the States are necessary for promotion and development of sports in the country. The conference will also attempt to draw up an action plan for utilization of sports facilities for promoting Tourism, Culture and Youth welfare.
