Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation stone of ambitious Delhi-Meerut Expressway project, aimed at easing traffic congestion in the national capital. A long-awaited gift for lakhs of people living on the Ghaziabad-Indirapuram stretch will be delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ambitious road is expected to de-congest National
Highway-24, easing hardships for people living in localities around the choked carriageway. The massive infrastructure project will cost around Rs 7,600 crore and is estimated to be completed within three years.
The project will include construction of 74 kilometre long Delhi-Dasna-Meerut 14 lane Expressway and upgradation of 22 kilometre long Dasna-Hapur section of NH-24 in three phases. The alignment of Delhi-Meerut Express will start from Nizammudin Bridge from Delhi and will continue on existing NH - 24 upto Dasna.
