Over 900 aspirants, a majority of them youngsters, have so far applied for MIM party tickets to contest the forthcoming GHMC elections.
The party, which plans to contest over 75 of the 150 wards, had earlier invited applications. The party began selling the application forms on Thursday.
According to MIM sources, as many as 300 applications forms were sold on Thursday and another 650 on Friday. Saturday is the last day for sale of the forms.

Of the 900-odd applicants, 70 per cent are graduates; some are advocates and engineers. Interestingly, about 40 per cent are women. A sizeable number of non-Muslims have also applied for the tickets.
The party expects more applications on Saturday as clarity would emerge on reservation of wards.
The applications based on the applicants’ caste, qualification and religion.
