New Delhi: Swati Maliwal, whose appointment as Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief by the Kejriwal government was questioned by the L-G, alleged that her office has been locked and her nameplate removed.
Ms. Maliwal also claimed that all files had been taken away from her office.
“Why is my office locked and why has my nameplate and that of other members been removed from the DCW office? I am not going anywhere. Sitting in air-conditioned
rooms doesn’t give me power. I will work for the cause of women and will make DCW the strongest in the world,” she said.
Ms. Maliwal had on Wednesday posted a tweet claiming that L-G Najeeb Jung had called her and conveyed that she should not come to office and that all her files are being taken back.
Mr. Jung’s office had vehemently denied her claims, saying he was upset over such baseless allegations.
