Firing inside
Karkardooma Court complex in Delhi on Wednesday morning left one dead and
injured three others, including a clerk
and one police constable.
The incident took
place around 11 AM when an undertrial was brought to court number 73 there,
following which the unidentified persons, who were suspected to have
been
waiting to attack the undertrial, fired at least 10 rounds and fled, said a
police official.
Several police teams have been rushed to the spot and the injured persons taken to hospital, said DCP (East) B S Gurjar.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the police official, who was escorting the undertrial, was hit by four bullets.
