Petrol, diesel prices hiked

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corp, the nation’s largest oil company had hiked petrol and diesel prices after two cuts in a row. Petrol price was hiked by Rs 3.96 while diesel was increased by Rs 2.37, excluding the state taxes, and these new prices are effective from Thursday



midnight.

"The movement of prices in international oil market and Rupee-USD exchange rate shall continue to be closely monitored and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," IOC said.

In Hyderabad, petrol is priced at Rs 71.42 and diesel is at Rs. 56.00.
