Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi
today announced an 80,000 crore rupee package for all-round development of
Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in
Srinagar, Mr Modi said that this is just the beginning, which will change the
state's fortune, give strength to its youth and build a modern Kashmir. He
said, the state should become a model of development, and its progress should
be based on democracy and humanity.
The Prime Minister
said, the solution
to every problem is in providing employment to the youth. He said, he wants to
bring back the glorious days of Jammu and Kashmir.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 450 Mega Watt Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project Stage-II at Ramban in Jammu. He will also lay the foundation stone for four-laning of Udhampur-Ramban and Ramban-Banihal section of National Highway 44 at Chanderkote Ramban and address a gathering there.
