Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Malaysia this morning on second leg of his three-nation tour. He will make a brief halt there to congratulate the country's newly elected Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Later in the day, Mr Modi will visit Singapore on his third leg of visit.
Apart from deliberations on defence and maritime security in the Asia Pacific region, the Prime Minister will hold talks with business community on growing trade ties between the two countries.
Before leaving for Kualalumpur, Malaysia this morning, Mr Modi in a tweet said his visit to Indonesia has added great strength to bilateral relations between India and Indonesia.
He thanked Indonesian President Joko Widodo and the wonderful people of the country for the exceptional hospitality Mr.Modi told the Indian diaspora in
Indonesia has excelled in several fields and adds strength to the friendship.
At the banquet hosted by Mr Widodo to Mr Modi last night, a wonderful rendition of Sabrmati Ke Sant Tune Kar Diya Kamal was sung by an eminent singer Fryda Lucyana.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joko Widodo jointly addressed the CEOs of both countries last evening on working together to improve trade relationships.
The India-Indonesia CEOs forum presented a report to the Mr Modi after the meeting. It is to be noted that both countries have set up a joint working group to move forward in fields of common interest.
Both the Countries had signed several agreements and MOUs to strengthen and broaden their relationships and take it to the next level.
