PM Modi convey's birthday wishes to Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, December 9, 2014 (Agencies) Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted birthday wishes to Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday morning.

"Best wishes to Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi on her birthday. May Almighty bless her with a long & healthy life," Modi tweeted from his

account.

Sonia Gandhi who has turned 68, has released a statement among the Congress party members, not to celebrate her birthday as a sign of respect to those who have lost their lives in the Jammu and Kashmir terror attacks.

"In solidarity with the martyred army and police personnel there, Mrs Gandhi has asked Congresspersons not to celebrate her birthday," the statement said.
