Prime Minister Mr.
Narendra Modi today met his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Hanoi.
Both the leaders are holding delegation level talks now. Mr Modi arrived Hanoi
Friday night on the first leg of his two-nation visit. Several MoUs are likely
to be signed between the two countries after the talks.
Prime Minister
Narendra Modi has said that his visit to Vietnam is a reinforcement of
friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation of both the countries.
Talking to national radio broadcaster Voice of Vietnam, Mr Modi said the visit
is intended to further boost bilateral and multilateral engagement and
cooperation in various fields including politics, economy, space
research,
defence , security and others. Mr. Modi arrived at Vietnamese capital Hanoi
Friday night.
The Prime Minister further said that the thrust of multifaceted relationship is to work towards stability, maintenance of peace, economic growth and prosperity in both countries, Asia and beyond.
PM Modi has a busy schedule today as he is going to hold delegation level talks with his Vietnamese counter part, besides meeting with the President, Chairperson of the National Assembly and General Secretary of the Communist Party.
