Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the country's first ever Indian Institute of Skills in Kanpur today.
The Institute has been conceptualized by Mr. Modi during his visit to Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education. The institute is opened by the Skill Development Ministry in partnership with the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore.
Prime Minister also inaugurated the Kaushal Pradarshani (Skill Exhibition) for the youth. The Exhibition showcased state-of-the-art vocational training practices of



various sectors. 
Prime Minister is addressing a Parivartan rally in Kanpur today. This is the sixth Parivartan Rally addressed by Prime Minister in Uttar Pradesh.Earlier, Mr. Modi addressed rallies at Ghazipur, Agra, Kushinagar, Moradabad and Behraich. He emphasised how technology and skill development of the youth can be utilised for the development of the country. 
There are four Parivartan yatras organised across the state which were initiated by BJP national president Amit Shah from Saharanpur.
