Glasgow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Glasgow to attend the World Leader’s Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties (COP-26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Mr Modi received a rousing welcome from the Indian community when he reached the hotel in Glasgow.

In a tweet, Mr. Modi said, he looks forward to working with other world leaders on mitigating climate change and articulating India’s efforts in this regard.
The COP-26 summit will end on the 12th of this month and during this period, the meetings will collectively discuss over one hundred agenda items. The high-level segment of the COP-26 is being held today and tomorrow in which Heads of State of more than 120 countries are participating.
At COP-26, the parties will work to achieve the completion of Paris the Agreement implementation guidelines, the mobilization of climate finance, actions to strengthen climate adaptation, technology development and transfer and keeping in reach the Paris Agreement goals of limiting the rise in global temperatures.
