Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are continuing their informal meeting in Wuhan today. The two leaders met over a walk by the lake this morning and are now taking a boat ride.
At the delegation level talks yesterday with the Chinese President, Mr Modi emphasised the need for cooperation between India and China to maintain peace, stability and prosperity in the world. The Prime Minister also invited President Xi to a similar informal summit in India in 2019.
The Chinese
President said, India and China were central pillars for promoting a multi-polar world and good bilateral relation is important to maintain global peace and stability.
Mr Xi said, the growth of China-India relations have maintained good momentum. He said, the two counties need to maintain strong ties and focus on national development, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, work for national revitalisation and make positive contribution for global peace and development.
