Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Mumbai today on a day-long visit to Maharashtra, where he will lay the foundation stones of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj memorial at an island in Arabian Sea off Mumbai Coast.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones of major infrastructure projects like two new Metro lines, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link and Kalanagar flyover.These projects are expected to improve connectivity and reduce
overcrowding in local trains as well as vehicular traffic on Mumbai’s roads.
Later Mr Modi will address a public function in suburban Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). Prime Minister will also inaugurate the newly-built campus of SEBI's National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) at Patanganga near Mumbai. The Prime Minister will then leave for Pune, where he will lay the foundation stone of the Pune Metro Rail project.
