Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a plenary session of 48th World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos in Switzerland today. The session will be moderated by the WEF chairman Klaus Schwab. Mr Modi will also interact with the top global business leaders and Indian CEOs. The Prime Minister will showcase ‘New India’ to global chief executives at the summit.
After arriving in Davos, Mr Modi held bilateral talks with the president of Swiss Confederation Alain Berset. The two leaders reviewed the scope of bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to deepen it even further. In a tweet after the meeting the Swiss President, Mr Modi said, India and Switzerland, the oldest democracies in the world, will continue to strengthen their relationship.
All eyes will
be on Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he will address the plenary session at the World Economic Forum today in the snow-laden town of Davos in Switzerland. He will encapsulate making of a new, young and innovative India. Mr Modi will also showcase India’s investment potential at the summit.
Besides, there will be seven more round tables organized by Invest India on finance, financial inclusion for promoting digital payments, clean energy solutions for a better future, development of railway industry in India, developing skills in a digital world and promoting design in India.
All the six union ministers including Railway minister Piyush Goyal and Commerce and Industry minister Suresh Prabhu will attend these session.
