Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Xiamen, China today. 

It will be the first meeting between Mr Modi and the Chinese President after the resolution of nearly a two-month long stand-off in Doklam area. Mr Modi will also meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
On the last day of the 9th BRICS summit today, Mr Modi will participate in Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries at Xiamen. Host China has invited leaders from five other emerging markets and developing countries- Egypt, Guinea, Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand under its BRICS plus approach for the dialogue.

After the summit and bilaterals, Mr. Modi will depart for Nay Pyi Taw on his second and last leg of two nation visit. Yesterday, Mr. Modi held bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Michel Temer on the sidelines of the summit. 

Mr. Modi and Mr. Putin discussed situation in Afghanistan and several aspects of bilateral relationship. They had also discussions on cooperation in the oil and natural gas sector and trade and



investment. 

With Brazilian President Michel Temer, Mr. Modi discussed a partnership based on a common global vision and shared democratic values.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi concludes his three day visit to China where he attended BIRCS Summit and also held bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Michel Temer.Before leaving for Nay Pyi Taw, the capital city of Myanmar, The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping. PM Modi is taking part in Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries at Xiamen. 

The countries other than BRICS nations participating in the dialogue are Egypt, Guinea, Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand. They have been invited by the host China under its BRICS plus approach. 

The 9th BRICS Summit held in China has been very successful for India as it has been able to get named terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad operating from Pakistani soil and a comprehensive approach against terrorism by BRICS leaders in the Xiamen declaration.
