Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also become the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Palestine when he reaches Ramallah this afternoon. Mr. Modi will reach the Presidential Palace in Ramallah via helicopter. He will lay wreath at the tomb of Yasser Arafat before visiting the legendary Palestinian leader’s museum which is also situated inside the Presidential complex. Mr Modi will later hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during which the entire gamut of bilateral relations will be discussed.
A number of MoUs are also
expected to be signed. The talks will be followed by a press statement by the two leaders.The Prime Minister’s visit to Ramallah, reports that trade between India and Palestine is channelised through Israel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Abu Dhabi this evening on his third leg of his tour to West Asia and the Gulf countries. This is Prime Minister’s second visit to UAE. Ambassador Navdeep Suri said it is an indication of the importance which India gives to UAE. which is home to 3.3 million Indian expats.
