Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Katra in Jammu and Kashmir today to address the convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Mr Modi will also inaugurate the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, which has been set up by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at a cost of Rs 300 crore.
Prime Minister will also distribute medical cards for free treatment to persons who live in the nearby villages. Mr Modi will also
inaugurate a sports complex and address a public meeting. In a tweet, Prime Minister said, he is looking forward to attend a wide range of programmes in Katra and interact with people.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of Prime Minister's visit. A senior police official said in Jammu that all routes have been sanitised and adequate security has been put in place at the venues and on the route of the the Prime Minister.
