President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Auckland last evening after successful bilateral meetings in Wellington resulting in the signing of a Customs cooperation arrangement and ratification of the International Solar Alliance agreement by New Zealand.
Earlier in the day, a State Banquet was hosted in honour of President Droupadi Murmu at the Government House. The banquet was attended by several New Zealand dignitaries including Prime Minister
Christopher Luxon and eminent representatives of the New Zealand Indian community.
Governor General Dame Cindy Kiro hailed President Murmu for her commitment and initiatives for the upliftment of all sections of society. Speaking at the event, President Murmu said that there is a renewed momentum in bilateral relations, generated by high-level contacts and increased engagement across a range of sectors.
