President Droupadi Murmu held bilateral meeting with her Mauritanian counterpart Mohammed Ould Ghazouani yesterday. President Murmu also participated in the delegation level talks. Four MoUs were signed between the two countries to strengthen the bilateral ties.
                                                     
An agreement for consultation between the Ministry of External Affairs, India and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mauritania was signed for promoting bilateral relations in various fields of common interests for strengthening international peace and security. The second MoU was between training institutes of Foreign



relations of both countries for facilitating cooperation and the third MoU signed was on exemption of visa requirements for diplomatic and official passport holders. 

The fourth MoU was on the Cultural exchange programs between the two countries from 2024 to 2028.President Droupadi Murmu also attended a community event where she interacted with Indian diaspora in Mauritania. Later in the evening President departed for Malawi for the final leg of the three nation visit.

President Murmu will be on a 3-day visit to Malawi from today till 19th of this month. She is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with the leadership of Malawi and also to meet the Indian diaspora.
