President Ram Nath Kovind held delegation-level talks with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in capital Malabo this afternoon. They reviewed entire gamut of bilateral relations. Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways Mansukh Mandavia, two MPs P Venugopal and Yashwant Singh were present during the talks.
India and Equatorial Guinea discussed ways of expanding the bialateral relationship as agreed upon during the first bialateral Joint Commission meeting held in October 2017 in
New Delhi.
Agreements for cooperation in various fields, including medicinal plants, tradition system of medicine, Information and Technology and Health were also signed.
The President will also address Parliament of Equatorial Guinea tonight. Later, Mr Kovind will also address the Indian community. The President will travel to Swaziland and Zambia, as part of his visit, which aims to further deepen India's relations with the African nations.
