President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan arrived in New Delhi last night on a three-day visit to India. He will attend the World Food India Conference today. The visiting dignitary will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and call on President Ramnath Kovind.
The Armenian President will go to Agra on Saturday and visit the Taj Mahal. Bilateral dialogue between India and Armenia is conducted through the
mechanisms of Foreign Office Consultations and Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological, Cultural and Educational Cooperation.
The presence of Indian community in Armenia is very thin. It largely consists of over 900 students pursuing a medical education at Yerevan State Medical University and Yerevan Engineering and Polytechnic University.
