Rajya Sabha to take up discussion on Hyderabad University, JNU issues today

After President Pranab Mukherjee  address to members of both Houses of Parliament yesterday, the legislative business of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will begin today. Issues relating to JNU and Hyderabad University will come up for discussion today. 

In Rajya Sabha, discussion will take place on the situation arising in the Central Institutions of higher education with specific reference to Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Hyderabad. It will be



discussed in Lok Sabha on February 25th after the presentation of Rail Budget. 

Today, in the Lok Sabha, motion of thanks on the President's address will be moved. The Election Laws amendment bill is also scheduled to be introduced in the lower house today. 

In Rajya Sabha, The National Waterways Bill, The Carriage by Air (Amendment) Bill, The Bureau of Indian Standards Bill is scheduled to come up for discussion and passage today.
