Vishakapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Police are yet to ascertain the whereabouts of the abducted Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders in the Visakhapatnam Agency area who were kidnapped from their homes late on Monday evening. "The search is on for the abducted leaders who have been identified as TDP mandal president Mamidi Balaiah Padal of Kothagudem, and senior leaders Vandalam Balaiah of P.

Maoist east division secretary, Kailasam released a letter to the media yesterday at Seeleru, asking the state government to give up its plans of mining for bauxite in Visakha Agency and withdraw paramilitary forces from all pockets and stop violating the rights of tribals.

The letter warned that TDP leaders will have to pay a huge price if the demands were not met. Meanwhile, the Maoists have called for bandh along Andhra Odisha Border from today.
