Sharad Pawar injured during morning walk, taken to Mumbai

Mr. Pawar (73) suffered injury in his leg and apparently in his back and will be admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, sources said. His wife Pratibha



Pawar and daughter Supriya Sule are accompanying him. Mr. Pawar slipped during his usual morning walk at his Janpath bungalow, they said, but did not elaborate further on his condition.

Mr. Pawar, who left Congress and formed Nationalist Congress Party in 1999, is currently a member of Rajya Sabha. He is a three-time chief minister of Maharashtra and a former union minister.
