SHE Cabs Launched for Women at Hyderabad Airport for Women Safety

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has introduced ‘SHE Cab’ facility exclusively for women at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA). “Safety and security of passengers at the airport are our prime concern and we are always ready to go the extra mile for this”, SGK Kishore said t a formal event at the airport, Mr. SGK Kishore, CEO, GHIAL along with Mr. CV Anand (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, handed over the identity cards to the female drivers and flagged off the SHE Cabs at the airport.Safety and security of passengers at the airport are our prime concern and we are always ready to go the extra mile for this – said Mr. SGK Kishore, CEO, GHIAL.SHE Cabs have



various safety features and this service will be very use full for the women passengers, especially those who are travelling alone.As of now, there will be 10 SHE cabs operating out of the airport. These (SHE cabs) taxis will be available round the clock. Women passengers will be able to book “SHE Cab” at the Traffic Police Pre-paid Booth at the airport. Only women passengers or passengers travelling with at least one woman traveller will be able to utilise this women special “SHE cab” services.The “SHE Cabs” are connected to Police Control Room through GPS and are equipped with a panic button as a safety feature. This she cab service is available only from the airport into the city.
